The most common applications that we produce custom tool steel parts for are tools and dies for aluminum die casting dies, zinc die casting dies, die casting molds, and die casting cavities.

S7 Tool Steel

S7 Tool Steel is a shock-resistant air-hardening tool steel known for its exceptional toughness and high-impact strength properties. S7 Tool Steel is often used in cold and hot work tooling applications, such as punches, chisels, and dies. This steel alloy is ideal for applications where high impact strength and resistance to shock loading are critical.

H13 Tool Steel

RAM Tool offers trusted metal CNC machining services for custom parts made from H13 Tool Steel. We have the experience and the machinery to produce H13 Tool Steel dies and die casting cavities.

H13 Tool Steel is a hot-work tool steel with high heat resistance, excellent toughness, and good wear resistance. H13 Tool Steel resists cracking from thermal fatigue and polishes beautifully. H13 has a high toughness and is a popular choice for die casting cavities, extrusion dies, and hot forging dies.

P20 Tool Steel

RAM Tool can readily produce fully customized P20 Mold Steel parts. We are capable of working with long-lasting molds and dies from Grade 20 Tool Steel.

P20 Tool Steel, also known as 1.2311 or P20 Plastic Mould Steel, is a versatile and widely used pre-hardened plastic mold steel with good machinability, polishability, and weldability. P20 Tool Steel is ideal for manufacturing plastic parts and components requiring high surface finish and dimensional accuracy. This alloy can produce long-lasting die casting dies for zinc, and plastic compression molds.

Orvar Supreme Tool Steel

RAM Tool offers Orvar Supreme Tool Steel for custom fabricating services. We can readily machine parts and components made from Orvar Supreme Tool Steel alloy entirely in-house.

Uddeholm Orvar Supreme is a premium H13 Steel used for hot work tool applications. Orvar Supreme Steel is also used in plastic molds and high-stressed axles. This high-quality steel is known for its high performance, reliability, and ease of machining.

Dievar Tool Steel

RAM Tool offers Dievar Tool Steel to produce high-quality custom CNC machined parts. We can machine custom Dievar Tool Steel parts for high-demand hot work applications like die casting, forging, and extrusion parts.

Uddeholm Dievar Tool Steel is a premium steel developed for the demanding application of high pressure casting. Dievar is a high-performance hot work tool steel offering the longest tool life and lowest crack risk in the industry. Uddeholm Dievar is a dependable tool steel for hot stamping, forging and extrusion, common for large structural dies.
