Titanium Ti-6Al-4V

We commonly machine parts from the Titanium Ti-6Al-4V alloy for companies within the aerospace, wind energy, and military applications where high strength is crucial without sacrificing weight.

Titanium Ti-6Al-4V, also known as Grade 5 titanium, is a high-performance alloy that combines excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight properties. Titanium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of all known metals. Titanium is a biocompatible machining material, making it ideal for medical implants and devices due to its ability to integrate well with human tissue and its resistance to corrosion in bodily fluids. Titanium Ti-6Al-4V’s low thermal conductivity allows the alloy to be manipulated across a range of temperatures without having its mechanical properties impacted.
